Five things I think are incredibly chic.

There are just some things in life that instantly scream incredible, chic, it-girl realness to me.

Here are five of those things, each one an easy way to elevate your look!

1. Ballet flats with baggy jeans.

Something about this combo is just so cutesy to me. I love how it feels both comfy and elevated at the same time, it’s very “off-duty model” energy.

As a girl who’s always on the go, I’m constantly looking for easy ways to take a simple look up a notch without sacrificing comfort. This one does exactly that.

Any color ballet flat works here, but of course I had to give you a pink moment.

2. A statement hair accessory.

I think I might be a little psychotic because for whatever reason, you will never catch me wearing the same hairstyle two days in a row. That's exactly why statement hair accessories are my best friend!

They're such a fun, low effort way to elevate a simple outfit. Throwing on a little hair accessory immediately makes it look like you spent 5x longer to get ready.

3. An essential, worn-in, big, slouchy purse.

Okay, I have to give credit where credit is due: Mary-Kate Olsen absolutely influenced me on this one. There’s just nothing more iconic than her running around town with her beat-up black leather Birkin.

While most people wouldn’t treat a $10,000+ bag like an everyday beater (we’re talking Hermès Birkin status), I honestly prefer it this way. To be loved is to be changed! The wear and tear, the slouch, the broken-in leather shows she actually uses her bag and reaches for it every single day. Controversial opinion, I know.

And no, I’m not telling you to go drop five figures on a Birkin, but here are some dupes that give that same feel!

4. Dainty little watches.

I'm a busy woman, (cue Busy Woman by Sabrina Carpenter playing in background) I gotta keep track of the time! What better way to do it than with a dainty, adorable watch on my wrist?

There are so many different ways to customize this pick to fit your personal style, I still have yet to purchase the perfect little watch to add to my collection. Splurge or save, go silver or gold (or both?), keep it funky or super simple — whatever route you take, I promise this sweet little accessory will earn you major chic points.
